Port de Pollenca

Port de Pollenca

Port de Pollenca is located in the north-west of Mallorca and it is a relaxed and friendly port with charming beaches, shops and restaurants.
Port de Pollenca is very popular with the British – for holidays and as a second home location. In Port de Pollenca you will find all you need – sandy beach, lined by pine and palm trees, a splendid array of cafes and restaurants, and some excellent hotels. It is family-friendly resort, with some intriguing twists to its history.

Port de Pollenca, like many Majorcan coastal towns, was formerly a fishing village servicing the local area. Port de Pollenca still has a large marina which nowadays harbours leisure boats more than fishing boats, but you can still see many traditional ones used by the Mallorcans for catching fish.
As Port de Pollenca is settled in a large horseshoe bay, has sea views and a picture-perfect mountain backdrop. It is a perfect location, cause it is well protected from strong winds.

The beachfront of Port de Pollenca is the main. In the south of the port you will find a long commercial beach known as Port de Pollenca Beach, full of holiday apartments, restaurants and tourist shops line the road opposite the pedrianised promenade. Further north of the port, the coastline gets more and more beautiful. It is called The Pine Walk promenade and provides a more narrow beach, lined with traditional style Mallorcan chalets complete with pine trees leaning into the sea – it is an idyllic setting.
Port de Pollenca has been a popular family holiday destination, but as it is close to Mallorca’s Serra de Tramuntana mountains, it also attracts hikers and cyclists between the months of October and April.
