Hermitage Ermita de la Victoria, Alcudia

The former hermitage ‘Ermita de La Victoria’ is located near Alcudia, in the north of Mallorca. Lacation of Ermita de la Victoria is in idyllic and unspoiled mountain landscape. It is far away from mass tourism, so it it an ideal place to rest. From the Ermita de la Victoria you will have a magical view of the Cap de Formentor and the bay of Puerto Pollenca. You can do a lot of excursions from here (on foot, by mountain bike or by rental car). Not far from the Ermita de la Victoria (about 500 m down the valley) is the small beach of S ‘Illot. This beautiful secrete bay is used only by the visitors of the peninsula.

The chapel was named, when in the end of the 15th century the Carmelite convent of La Victoria was founded. At the end of the 16th century, the Carmelites left the building and a period of abandonment began, which led to the governors of the city of Alcúdia’s decision to reconstruct it.

The sanctuary with the Gothic image of the Virgen de la Victoria is located next to the hermitage. Image is dating from the 15th century. The main facade has a small rose window located above the doorway lintel. In the top of the sanctuary there is accommodation that can be accessed through the back of the building.

Here, in the Ermita de la Victoria, 12 simple but tastefully furnished guest rooms have been created. All rooms have a private bathroom and central heating. The rooms and their windows vary in size. There is a restaurant with a beautiful terrace and sea views. Good Mallorcan cuisine and paella are offered here. So if you are looking for peace and beautiful nature, you are at the right place.
