Regarding an agreement between the council and the Ports Authority, visitors of Port de Andratx will soon be able to enjoy some of the most spectacular views on Mallorca. It is agreed to let Andratx council use la Mola lighthouse as a public viewing point. La Mola lighthouse is situated 128 metres above sea level, it is 10 metres high and can be seen by ships from 12 nautical miles away. Located on the edge of one of the most steep cliffs you can just imagine the views from the lighthouse. The view stretch for 12 nautical miles over the clear blue sea and mountains. La Mola will be ocuppied by the 40 year old gentelmen, who will have to maintain it and secure the viewing platform looking over the steep cliff to ensure it meets all safety standards.
