S’illot

S’illot is a small tourist town, situated on the south east coast of Mallorca. Illot in Catalan mean “islet”, and the name was given from a small rocky island off the coast. The urban development of S’Illot started in 1959. At the entrance to the village there is a large archaeological site, one of the most important in Mallorca. The earliest elements date from 2200 BCE and it is well preserved.

S’illot is a lovely, small beach resort, but has enough amenities for a relaxing holiday. The resort has a beautiful promenade, lined with palm trees, and with a great choise of bars, restaurants, cafes and shops. It is a perfect spot for a relaxing family or couples holiday. There are a few lively bars, but evening entertainment mainly provided by the hotels.

The beach at S’Illot is very pretty, with soft sands and very calm, warm waters that lap gently. There are plenty of facilities such as sunbeds and parasols for hire, and a choice of watersports. You’ll find pedaloes and banana boats, plus windsurfing and other activities.
