Sa Coma is one of Mallorca’s hollidays resorts, situated on the eastern coast. Sa Coma is a good choise for families and couple. Sa Coma was built in the 1980s as a tourist resor. This small, beautiful resort is located in area of Sa Punta de n’Amer, which was declared as an official nature reserve in 1985.
This small resort has Sa Coma beach and two other beaches nearby – in Cala Millor and S’Illot. The main atrraction is a sandy Blue Flag beach and numerous leisure activities in and around the area. There all the facilities you will be needed – bars, restaurants, sun lounges, showers and lifeguard on duty. On the main shopping street you can find supermarkets, car, motorbike, bicycle rental. Sa Coma is popular with Spanish, British, Irish and German tourists. As Sa Coma is family oriented, there are more evening entertainments in the hotels, than in bars or clubs.
There are two well known festivals in Sa Coma. The Smooth Jazz Festival in May, featuring live performances of soul, funk and jazz music for about a week. The festival of the city’s patron saint is traditionally celebrated in mid-July, featuring a parade of giants, a selection of local food, and various bands playing live music.
