Cala Bona

Cala Bona

Cala Bona is situated in the north east of Mallorca, municipality of Son Servera. Cala Bona is a small holiday resort and a quiet holiday destination with a Blue Flag beach. Before the tourist boom, Cala Bona was a fishing village, consisted of a pair of houses where a few families lived by fishing.
In 1924 the first guest house opened – the “Hotel Cala Bona”. Cala Bona used to be a small fishing village, developed into the holiday resort. The small Mallorcan fishing boats can still be seen in the harbour today. The area began to be urbanized with hotels and restaurants. Cala Bona is now connected with Cala Millor as the port and promenade were expanded in 2006. There is a mini train which connects Cala Bona with Costa dels Pins and Cala Millor.
Cala Bona is very safe, clean, and relaxed holiday resort. It is suitable for families with children and the elderly who want to stay in a hotel or who are travelling by boat. Cala Bona is a small resort but offers everything you need for a relaxing beach holiday. There are plenty of shops, restaurants and bars. Motorbike, car or bicycle hire points can be found along the promenade. The harbour of Cala Bona is suitable for smaller boats only.
