Son Marroig

The mansion Son Marroig has one of the most spectacular views of Mallorca. It is in the Serra de Tramuntana, which was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2011. Shortly before reaching Deia there is a turnoff to the left leading to Son Marroig. The visit includes a walk through the gardens, beautiful white temple with a breathtaking backdrop of mountains, sea and stunning sunsets and a house with a museum inside.
The House Museum of Son Marroig is a private institution created with the purpose of preserving and promoting the iconic figure of Archduke Luis Salvador. The museum includes personal objects of the archduke like paintings, furniture and pottery from different periods. It has many drawings, books and objects that belonged to the archduke, Museum of Son Marroig offers a visit to this ancient residence of the Archduke. In the house you can find old Greek and Roman ceramics, Roman amphoras, Mallorcan antique furniture, Greek statuettes and much more.
From the balcony of dining room or the temple of Son Marroig you will enjoy a spectacular view of a north cost of Mallorca. The temple is the most iconic wedding venue in Mallorca.
