S’Estany d’en Mas, also known as Cala Romantica, is situated on the east coast of Mallorca in holiday resort of Cala Romantica. Porto Cristo is about 10-15 minutes away by car. S’Estany d’en Mas is a lovely cove beach with turquoise water and golden sand. S’Estany d’en Mas is the largest of three cove beaches in the area including Cala Anguila and Cala Mendina. It is quite busy in the summer months, particularly among German and British families. The beach is covered by cliffs with pine trees.
S’Estany d’en Mas is about 160 metres long and 100 wide. There are facilities such as showers, toilets and sunbeds available for hire. The advantage of this beach is that it offers plenty of space, so it is perfect for playing ball games. S’Estany d’en Mas is not deep so it is a good option for families with children. Lifeguards are on duty in peak summer months. There is a restaurant and a snack bar at the beach and a couple of smaller cafes further on the streets. The sea here is clear and calm and it is ideal for diving enthusiasts and snorkelers. A calm harbour makes this a perfect place to drop anchor.
