Portals Vells is a small, calm and peacefull cove beach on the southwest coast of the Mallorca, in the community of Calvia. Portals Vells beach very popular with locals. Portal Vells has very calm waters, so it is excellent spot for snorkeling and diving. Portal Vells is around 30 metres long and 20 metres deep, surrounded by gorgeous pine forest and has a clear water.
There are toilets, sunbeds and umbrellas avaible for hire, but no showers or changing stations. There are no water activities, but perfect waters for snorkeling. There are a large restaurant on site serving good beach food and Mallorcan specialities. There is no lifeguard on duty at Portals Vells beach.
To reach Portals Vells beach is easy by car following signs to Portals Vells beach. There is plenty of free car parking. There are no public transport buses that stop here. The nearest town is a small village of Portals Vells about 10-15 minutes away. It is possible to access the beach by boat as well. Wheelchair accessibility is minimal as there is a 200-metre walk to the beach on sandy and not paved road.
