Playa de Canyamel

Playa de Canyamel is situated on the northeastern coast of Mallorca, about 10 km from the villages of Artá and Capdepera. The beach of Canyamel is located in the small holiday resort of the same name. Playa de Canyamel is surrounded on one side by a nature reserve, it is perfect for walking and bird watching. There are parts of forest that are under conservation and provide protection for plants and animals. There are some walking trails in the surroundings. Playa de Canyamel is one of Mallorca’s Blue Flag Beaches.
Playa de Canyamel is a perfect spot to spend the day swimming, snorkeling, and relaxing. Playa de Canyamel is about  290 metres long, with fine grain sand and clear water. Weather conditions are good to anchor a boat for the day. There are amenities such as showers, changing stations and toilets. It is possible to rent lounge chairs, umbrellas and hire paddle boats, canoes, and SUP boards. There is one beach front bar and restaurant serving casual, local food. There is a lifeguard on duty and wheelchair accessibility is good. Playa de Canyamel can get crowded in the peak summer months, but because of its size and relative isolation, it generally stays relaxed.
Playa de Canyamel is easily accessible by car. You can leave yourcar at free public parking. It is possible to come by public bus from the town of Artá.
