The small sandy beach of Es Freu de Ses Covetes is much quieter than its neighbouring beach Ses Covetes. Locals are especially fond of this spot. The tiny bay is located in a nature reserve with an extensive dune landscape. Only a few houses can be found there as well, giving it a natural feel. The name of the beach means “the narrowness of the caves”, and comes from the nearby natural caves that were formerly used as a quarry.
In the area there are thermal waters with salt and sulfur components, which are unique in Mallorca. They are run by the Estación termal Sant Joan de la Font Santa. The number of bathers of this beach is medium high. Access by car is easy, follow the signs. You can park your car for free in a beach area. You can also go by public bus.
