Calo des Moro is an incredibly beautiful beach situated deep inside a bay with sheer cliffs, located 6 kilometres from Santanyi in the southeast corner of Mallorca. It is a small beach, but the 40 metres of beach is covered with fine-grained and bright sand. The water is crystal clear with the most beautiful turquoise shades. Perfect for a swim between the high cliffs. It is a good place for children to go for a dip as the water is shallow and almost always calm. However, there is rarely much room to play in the sand. In addition, there are no facilities, no restaurants, no lounge chairs and umbrellas, and no water sports for hire.
Calo des Moro is one of the more challenging beaches to access. Off of the main road you turn down a dirt path following signs for Calo des Moro and its neighboring beach, S’Almunia. There is free parking along this road, right where it ends, and then continue on foot, along a dirt path that twists down the cliffs to the beach.
