Caló d'en Monjo

Caló d’en Monjo

Caló d’en Monjo (means „cave of monk“ in spanish) is situated at three kilometres from Peguera. This coastal stretch is the natural border between the municipalities of Calvià and Andratx.

Calo den Monjo is a virgin, lovely, u-shaped sea inlet finishes on a very small cove. This beautiful cove is irrigated by a torrent that flows into the sea at this point. Calo den Monjo is surrounded by some medium-high cliffs in a very quiet coastal setting. In the surroundings, you will see the pine trees situated in this natural environment. The marine and underwater conditions are good for anchoring boats. Anyway, you have to be careful because of the emerging rocks and a sandbank. The nearest port facilities are located at Club Nàutic Santa Ponça.

To reach Cala den Monjo is easy by car. Follow the signs until Cala Fornells, and park in the surroundings. From here you will have to walk up on a trail until this beautiful corner. The beach is not very crowded by local visitors and tourists. Calo den Monjo has been declared nudist by the Ajuntament de Calvià.
