Cala Vinyes is located in south western Mallorca, two kilometres south of the bigger holiday towns of Magaluf and Palma Nova. The beach can be found 31 kilometres from the airport. Cala Vinyes is a lovely family beach situated in a small bay with low cliffs on both sides of the water. Even though this is a very good beach it is seldom too crowded.
Cala Vinyes has the numerous palm trees create a tropical look while the low cliffs that frame the bay are typical Majorcan. The beach is only 60 metres long, but it is also 80 metres wide and its clear water offers a wonderful turquoise hue. It is possible to rent sun loungers and parasols on the beach and although Cala Vinyes is lovely, it is rarely full. Cala Vinyes beach has been awarded an International Blue Flag Award for its Excellent quality of water, clean beach and facilities. This beach has emergency services and first aid facilities and a lifesaver from the 1st of May to the 31st of October. The beach is very child friendly with shallow water and clean sand. There is even a lovely well maintained children’s playground located at the back of the beach.
From the mooring next to the beach you can catch a special ferry boat that takes you sightseeing and even into Palma. The car can be parked for free close to the beach.
