Cala Varques

Cala Varques (also known as Cala Barques) is a quiet and unspoilt beach situated on the east coast of Mallorca. It’s called as one of the quietest beaches on the east coast. Cala Varques is isolated beach unless you come by boat. It is perfect place for independent travellers, but not so good for families. Cala Varques has a touch of a hippy vibe. The beach is around 90 metres in long and 60 width with golden sand and wonderful deep turquoise waters.

Cala Varques is surrounded by low, rocky cliffs and pine trees. The beach is popular with locals and hikers. The surrounding cliffs and rocky coves are popular with climbers. There are no services at the beach, no restaurants, also no sun loungers or umbrellas for hire. In the peak summer months you may find vendors selling drinks and snacks but as it is not guaranteed. You must bring your own food, drinks and everything you will need as the nearest town is about 10 kilometres away. Cala Varques is not wheelchair accessible.

Cala Varques is easy accessible by car. There are free parking lot in the area. After good 15 minutes walk you will reach the beach. There is no public transport either going till Cala Vaques. A great way to visit is by boat.
