Cala Torta

Cala Torta

Cala Torta is an idyllic bay in northeast Mallorca, situated at 10 kilometres from Arta and it is the biggest beach of this municipality. Cala Torta is for those who prefer more natural surroundings for their day on the sands. Nudism is allowed in Cala Torta.
This beach attracts locals and tourists, but most of the time you will find that is quieter than most north coast beaches. The water here is clear and deep. Cala Torta is a perfect gem for snorkellers and swimmers. When the wind gets up it can be a good spot for surfing as well. Cala Torta is good for diving and anchoring boats (sandy ground with a depth of five metres).

There are no facilities on the beach, which includes no lifeguard, no parasols or sun loungers and no toilets. For health and safety reasons, the pets are not allowed. There is only a small kiosk that sells drinks and snacks. If you are planning to spend a whole day here, make sure you pack a picnic.

The accessibility by car is easy following the signs on a steep and badly preserved road. The car can be left for free in the surroundings. You can reach this beach by bicycle (in Cala Mesquida you have to take a mountain track with red points, located next to a souvenir shop) or by walk from Cala Mesquida.
