Cala Mendia is situated on the east coast of Mallorca, three kilometers from Porto Cristo. This charming beach in Cala Mendia shares its name with the resort. Like many beaches on the east coast, Cala Mendia is located inside a bay with cliffs on both sides and covered by pine trees. Cala Mendia is about 60-70 meters long and 140 meters wide.
The beach is has fine grained sand and the water is clear with beautiful shades of turquoise. The are facilities in this beach such as showers, toilets and a large parking lot.There are a lifeguard on duty in peak summer months and large area with sun lounger and parasol rentals. Cala Mendia is perfectly suitable for children and there is plenty of room to play in the soft sand. There are no water sports activities, but it is a perfect spot for snorkeling, especially along the cliffs. There is a popular restaurant at the back of the beach. There are a few stores in the area, supermarket and a pharmacy.
