Cala d‘Egos is situated on the south west coast, between Punta de sa Dent and na Moragues, at 10 kilometres from Andratx. It is the only area of the coastline of Andratx which has good conditions for bathing, diving and anchoring boats. Cala d’Egos is quite unspoilt cove. It is a sandy cove, 70 m long and 25 m width, surrounded by pine forest. In the surroundings there are numerous caves. This area has very dry and steep landscape, with a vegetation of scrubland and pine trees.
The marine and underwater conditions for anchoring boats are excellent in Cala de Egos. The nearest port facilities you will find at Port d‘Andratx, at 2,2 nautical miles. Cala de Egos is unfrequented cove due to its difficult acccess. The best way to reach this stony area on the sea way. It is a perfect spot to anchor the boat and to enjoy diving and swimming. You can also reach the cove swimming or by Kayak.
You can not reach this beach on the road. You have to leave your private car at Club de Vela Port de Andratx. Caution, you will reach Cala d‘Egos, after hard, four kilometres walk, with a difference of 300 metres with no shade. The trail is steep and takes hour and a half to reach the cove. Take plenty of water, food, and everything you may need for staying a day at the beach with no service. These characteristics explain that the beach is not very crowded.
